Six phases, from the bible to the last proofread

  1. Bible — you build it talking to the writing coach; every scene you write later is checked against it.
  2. Outline — your chapter and scene cards.
  3. Writing — you write each scene; the coach checks it against its card and your bible and tells you what's missing.
  4. Diagnosis — with the draft written, what the novel needs before you rewrite it.
  5. Rewriting — you work through it talking to the developmental editor.
  6. Copyediting — a copyeditor in four passes: naturalness, style, grammar, and spelling and typography.

What it does and what it never does

It checks each scene you write, sends its proposals to Word as tracked changes, keeps the authorship record (how much of the text is yours and how much you accepted from the AI, per scene and for the whole novel) and shows you the novel's dashboard: scenes, status, words against plan, pace. It never writes scenes or paragraphs for you: at most cuts, corrections and, only if you ask for them, short sentences.

Your manuscript lives in your Word files, on your computer. Requests to the AI leave your computer with your own OpenRouter key, and ask for providers that don't retain data. HumanInk doesn't see your text.

Price

€99, one-time payment, VAT included. Lifetime license, on up to three computers. You activate it with the email you paid with and a six-digit code: there are no license keys. If you have a community code, you enter it on the payment page. Not included: the AI detector check, the official AWAP certificate, and your AI usage, which you pay yourself with your OpenRouter key (cents per check, depending on the model you choose).

AI detector check, for everyone

Find out what an AI detector will say about your novel before you send it out. You don't need the app: at https://verify.humanink.io/detector you upload your .docx or paste the text, see the price, pay by card (Stripe) and in a few minutes the result is on screen: which parts of the text read as AI, as AI-assisted or as human, block by block. €1.20 per 1,000 words, VAT included, always in whole thousands rounded up, €5 minimum. Example: 50,050 words, €61.20. A detector can be wrong: the result is what this detector reads in your text, not proof of how you wrote it. The check is run by Pangram, an external detection service; your text passes through our server on its way to Pangram, and HumanInk doesn't store it.

Official AWAP certificate

AWAP stands for Augmented Writing Audit Protocol, an open specification. The official certificate says what part of the work is the author's, according to the process that was recorded, and it has a public verification page at verify.humanink.io. It is paid, per title, and you ask for it from inside Writing Coach when you close the novel. Price: €59 per title, VAT included.
